Day 8: The Final Product

In order to display my final product, I set up a small dinner scene. I think that my cutlery is a lot more impactful when photographed in such a normal setup as it highlights the surreal form of my cutlery. My second image displays how the cutlery would be held and shows all the crossing shadows, showing the depth that's not as clear in the first photo.
Practically, when the cutlery is used, the user has to move their hands slightly off from wherever they want to stab the food. This is an accurate representation of what it's like for me when eating without depth perception as I often miss the food I'm trying to pick up if it's not directly in front of me. This develops my project from a concept to a practical example of my idea and allows the user to recognise how changing one element of a product can completely change how it has to be used, emphasising the importance of designs that have been thought through to be practical to use.
