A Series of Unfortunate Events

I attempted to cast my king piece as I felt it had the simplest form and my square piece had not been 3D printed yet. I taped the lid onto the bottom to ensure the silicone did not leak out of the mould and poured it in. Unfortunately, the 3D printing material inhibited the silicone from curing. I attempted coating it in liquid latex and vaseline to try and create a barrier between the plastic and the silicone, but this did not work either. While doing this I was also experimenting with painting on liquid latex to make a mould that way. Unfortunately, the 3D-printed master form also prevented the liquid latex from drying properly and so it took several days to build up the layers, thus making it wildly impractical.
As a result, I had to try a different method, so, instead of making a silicone mould from my 3D prints, I used a wooden block measuring the same size as my largest piece and 3D printed the outside or 'anti-chess pieces' to place into the silicone mould and cast my plaster in.
