Day 1: Initial Ideas

To start this project, I began thinking about what items could be made via casting and what I was interested in. I decided to look into Greek sculpture. In Ancient Greece, they believed that any depiction of a God or Goddess was the deity themselves. I am interested in investigating how modern-day depictions of Greek and Roman sculpture have changed their meaning. I like the idea of exploring an Eco Brutalist style, using casting techniques to create the illusion that nature has taken over the sculptures though I'm not yet sure where I want to go with this idea fully.
